About Bandhan Bank FD
Bandhan bank was incorporated in December 2014 but commenced operations in August 2015. The bank offers group-based individual lending services for the microfinance business. In 2019, Bandhan Bank acquired Gruh intending to diversify operations both geographically and across asset classes. The bank has its headquarters in Kolkata. As of March 2022, Bandhan bank has 1,189 branches, 4,450 banking units and 471 ATMs in 34 States and Union Territories in India. The total deposits as of March 2022 stood at INR 96,330.62 crores. Types Bandhan Bank Fixed Deposit Scheme
Dhan Samriddhi Fixed Deposit (Reinvestment of Interest Component)
- This scheme is offered to depositors to meet short-term goals like festivals, travel, marriage, home renovation, education and more
- The interest component is reinvested and thereby helps depositors in deriving the power of compounding
- Minimum deposit: Rs 5,000
- Tenure: 6 months to 10 years
- Nomination and automatic renewal facility is available
- Overdraft/loan facility is available against deposits
- Premature closure or partial withdrawal is permitted
- Additional senior citizen FD rates are only for resident Indians and are not applicable to NRIs.
Standard Fixed Deposit
- Minimum amount of deposit: Rs 1,000
- Tenure: 7 days to 10 years
- Interest is paid to the depositor at quarterly or monthly intervals
- Partial withdrawal or premature closure is permitted
- Automatic renewal and nomination facility is available
- Overdraft/loan facility is available against deposits
Premium Fixed Deposit
- Minimum deposit amount: Rs 2 crores and above
- Tenure: 7 days to 10 years
- Premature closure or partial withdrawal is allowed
- Loan/Overdraft facility is available against deposits
- Nomination facility is available
- Quarterly or monthly interest payout facility
Tax Saver Fixed Deposit
- Deposit amount: Minimum- Rs 1,000; Maximum- Rs 1.5 lakhs in a financial year
- Tenure: 5 years to 10 years (lock-in)
- Nomination facility is available
Premature Withdrawal Facility
Interest will be paid after deducting the penal rate (1%) from the applicable rate. The applicable rate would be the interest rate applicable for the period of deposit for which the fixed deposit amount remained with the Bank or at the contracted rate, whichever is lower.
